Your first tool is not a chart. It is a good question.

A fact is a claim you can check. An interpretation explains what it might mean. A hypothesis proposes something that still needs evidence.

When reading an analysis, identify its source, date and scope. Then ask what evidence would change the conclusion. A useful thesis can be wrong and must be testable.
